    Default White film on sprouts.

Hello all. I'm new to this forum and am in need of some help. This is my first garden we are doing and have already made three raised beds.

The issue I am having is the sprouts. All of a sudden most of them have this white film on them. I have lately began trying to harden them by keeping them outside when it's sunny and the average temperature has been around 70 to 75 degrees.

Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Oh, and I look forward to meeting all of you here.

Hello.....I am new to the forums as well. Sounds like air circulation and too much moisture to me. I placed a fan on my seedlings when this happened and seemed to help alot.....good luck =)

Water only when dry, the air circulation Flip Flop mentioned is crucial...
Dust the soil under the seedlings with powdered cinnamon, yes cinnamon, it will ward off bacterial attack, and DAMP OFF disease...

we dust the soil under our sprouts every year, over 1500 of them...have never lost any with these measures...
but without the cinnamon, circulation and moderate watering...in the basement it's cool, damp, under the lights...the sprouts die !!
