    Default Wisteria Suckers

I have a wisteria that my neighbor planted 15 years ago that is on our border. She said I could train it to go over a swing we purchased. My problem is there are so many suckers running in every direction I don't know how to remove them without killing the plant.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I had the same problem with many of my customers. You won't kill the plant. Just trim what you don't want and it won't harm the wisteria. The suckers grow like weeds.

I have cut my Wisteria back to a 4 foot tall stump (we were extending the deck it was growing on) and it came back better than ever the following year. Hack away!
