    Default Any advice?

I know it's starting to get late in the season, but I'd really like to start doing some more flower planting. Only trouble is, I've had trouble in the past growing certain species in my garden. Are their any types that are a good starter, especially in the not great soil of Massachusetts?

What have you tried in the past that failed?

First of all you have to decide which flower you want to grow up because of every flower required some different types of soil.

you should decide whant flower do you want to grow up, and you can start with "mainstream" flower such as roses, and you need to find out what types of soil that required by your plant.
