    Default late tomatos

I only have a small patch of garden, I use it to grow salad stuff, I have got some really nice Lettuce, onions etc... but my tomatos are so very late this year, I have got quite a lot of them but they are green, dont look as if they are going to ripen . should I leave them, and see if they do, or should I give up on them..

    Hi Beth,

In my part of the world (Pacific Northwest) the tomatoes are just starting to ripen and we've had an ideal summer for growing them.

Try withholding water until the plants are on the verge of wilting. That often scares them into ripening more quickly, in my experience.
