    Default flowering rhodendrum

I have a rhodendrum which I replanted in my garden about three years ago, it is growing nicely but has not produced any flowers since it was replanted.I have tried plant food for this type of plant with no result. Can someone tell me what might be the reason?

I know when we try to grow rhododendrons in our nursery from propigated cuttings, they will not bloom. Crazy at it is, it's true. Always get one from seed and they bloom. Same way with a nandina domestica. Also they tell me that a low alkalinity level will cause this also.
