I am new to patio gardening and i hope to learn alot from all of you.
I planted 8 tomatoe plants, (2 Black Krim, 2 Better Boys, 1 Yellow Pear, 1 Sweet 100, Celebrity and 1 Cherry red). I planted 4 jalapeno, and 1 Habanero, 1 yellow bell. The herbs i planted are lemmon basil, tyme, sage, and rosemary. I got tired of buying planters so i used some cat litter buckets that i had saved and just drilled holes in them. I planted everything on 4/2 and water daliy and have not used any fert yet. Where they are located gets 6-8hrs of full sun and it has been very windy and hot here.
I will post better pics of all of the on Monday.

Beautiful pics. Looks like you've done a really good job with your container garden. My only concern was the use of non-food grade plastic containers. I've heard some concerns here and there that not-so-good chemicals may leech into the soil when using non-food grade plastic. As a side note, many times you can get used 2gal and 5 gal food grade buckets from your local bakery for just a couple bucks a piece (if not free). Might be worth a phone call.

Nice work though.

peace,
Mike

I did not even check to see if the buckets were food grade or not, but i will look into it. I will be making a raised bed garden for next year so i can ditch the buckets and grow a variety of vegetables. Now if i can keep my two year old from picking the baby tomatoes off the plants, then i might have some good tomatoes.
