Recent news study of supermarkets shows that cookies, candy, and bacon have gotten 2% cheaper, while the cost of foods we are supposed to be eating --- vegetables and fresh fruits---has jumped 19.5% higher in cost.

I know my garden this year has more vegetables in it than flowers this year, because of the rising cost of food. I just wanted to share this little bit of information with you.

There are some foods that have actually gotten cheaper? Well, if you can call them foods anyway. Wow. I do think it's unfortunate that it the foods we really need are going so high up in price, though.

Hi, this is my first post:-) thinking about this makes me think how this is going to effect americans eating habits. It's already bad as it is. i can't imagine it getting worse. what kind of foods are you growing now instead of flowers because of this?
