We have a straight flower bed covered in brown hardwood mulch in front of our house. It has one goldflame spirea bush, a decorative rock, another goldflame spirea bush, and then a crimson pygmy barberry bush, another decorative rock, two Korean boxwoods next to each other, another decorative rock, a small hot shot azalea bush, and froebelii spirea, another rock, another Korean boxwood, and a sweetspire henry's garnet. We would like to make the bed a little more exciting. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you so much!

Consider changing your mulch type to suit the color of your flowers. It will make your flower bed more pleasing to look at especially if your flowers are in full bloom.

Choose plants that flower in every season. You'll always have something new to welcome you home. Plant tall foliage to provide colour, privacy and a great place for insects, but make sure the plants you choose won't block the front windows.
